Only 39% of CFA Candidates Passed the May Level I Exam, 83% of Kinnu Users Did

CFA Institute's official May Level I pass rate was 39%. Here's how Kinnu users compared.

The May 2026 CFA Level I results came out last week. This was a big deal for us, as it was the first exam window that our Kinnu Finance platform was ready for. To know how well we are doing, we need to know how well you are doing. So, we reached out to all of our users in the May cohort.

Here's how they did:

The numbers have been scaled (Total Outreach = 100), for ease of understanding. Oh, and a 30% reply rate is pretty solid, by the way.

As you can see, CFA Level I candidates who used Kinnu in their studies did exceptionally well.

Kinnu users had an 83% pass rate. The overall pass rate for this exam was 39%. Thus, Kinnu candidates had a pass rate 44 percentage points higher than the general population. That's not too shabby for our first cohort!

Note: While we incentivized all users to share their results, even offering free Kinnu to those who didn't pass, survey data of this nature naturally skews toward those who succeeded.
